MIAMI (AP) _ Forecasters say Tropical Storm Hermine has crossed into Texas.
The U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami says the center of the storm has crossed the Rio Grande.
Hermine came ashore Monday night in northeast Mexico. By early Tuesday, the National Hurricane Center said the storm was about 10 miles south-southwest of Harlingen, Texas, and 20 miles northwest of Brownsville.
Hermine had maximum sustained winds of 60 miles per hour. It was moving north-northwest at 14 miles per hour.
A tropical storm warning was still in effect for Rio San Fernando, Mexico, north to Port O’Connor, Texas.
