DAVIE, Fla. (AP)_ The troubled saga between Miami Dolphins teammates Richie
Incognito and Jonathan Martin took an ominous turn yesterday. Two people spoke
to The Associated Press with fresh revelations that the suspended Incognito sent
text messages to his teammate that were racist and threatening. Martin left the
team last week because of emotional issues.
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) _ Saying “This is Coach Fox’s team,” Denver Broncos
interim coach Jack Del Rio says his job is to just keep the 7-1 team running
until Fox comes back. The 58-year-old Fox is recovering after having his aortic
valve replaced in an operation he had hoped to delay until after the Super Bowl.
HOUSTON (AP) _ The Houston Texans say 52-year-old Gary Kubiak (KOO’-bee-ak)
could be released from the hospital today. The Texans coach collapsed on the
field at halftime of the Texans’ 27-24 loss to Indianapolis Sunday night and was
hospitalized for precaution and observation.
