Two more are headed to prison for an aggravated robbery west of College Station more than two years ago. They are among five defendants who directed three victims driving two customized cars from Austin to the Brushy community. The victims, from Texas City, were hit by gunfire and their cars were stolen in the April 2011 incident. Angelika Young of Bryan and Terry Fielder, Jr. of College Station were both sentenced to 30 years after entering guilty pleas. Young’s boyfriend, Albert Bolden, Jr. of Bryan, previously entered a guilty plea and was also sentenced to 30 years. No trial dates have been set for the two remaining defendants, Justin Hosey and Brandon Benford.
A Bryan man is returning to prison to serve two consecutive life terms for aggravated sexual assault of a child. Prosecutors say 37 year old Howard Harris, Jr. committed the crimes the year after he was released from prison following a similar offense. Harris will serve at least 70 years before becoming eligible for parole. A Brazos County district court jury took 30 minutes to issue the conviction then another 15 minutes to recommend the life sentences. Judge J.D. Langley agreed with prosecutors to stack the prison time.
