CONROE, Texas (AP) _ Investigators have released store surveillance video in the search for suspects who left or threw homemade acid bombs in the Houston area.
Montgomery County Fire Marshal Jimmy Williams said Tuesday that an least nine incidents occurred last weekend in The Woodlands and one man was slightly hurt. Officials believe the resident reached down to pick up a bottle, not knowing it was a homemade bomb, and the device exploded in his hand.
All of the recovered devices were made from plastic water bottles that appeared to contain a liquid and aluminum foil.
A store surveillance video shows several individuals buying some of the materials needed to make the explosive devices. Williams has asked for the public’s help in identifying the suspects who appear to be teens.
