Twin Cities Move Up in Forbes Annual Small City Rankings

The City of College Station has determined the twin cities has been recognized for quality of life by 15 national publications and/or online surveys in the last three years.

The latest is a three-peat in Forbes list of best small places for businesses and careers. B-CS is fifth this year, up from sixth last year and ninth in 2011 among metro areas with populations under 250,000. No other Texas city was in the top 35.

The Bryan-College Station area is fifth nationally and first in Texas. The list is based on 12 factors related to jobs, business costs, living costs, income growth, quality of life and education. Forbes used data from Moody’s Analytics, the U.S. Census and Sperling’s BestPlaces.
