Two juries in Brazos County District Court criminal trials returned guilty verdicts.

Stealing cars in Brazos and Fort Bend counties results in a prison sentence of 60 years. A news release from the District Attorney’s office says 55 year old Cunning Morgan of Houston used the same scheme to take high-end vehicles. The normal punishment range between two and ten years was increased due to Morgan’s criminal history. With seven prior felonies, including aggravated robbery and aggravated assault, he could have received a life term.

A former College Station man was found guilty of stalking and burglarizing the home of an ex-girlfriend three years ago. Prosecutors told the jury that 24 year old Justin Pressler had a history of stalking and harassing former girlfriends, destroying their property, and retaliating after the women called police. It took the jury 20 minutes to find Pressler guilty of kicking in the door of the victim’s home, tearing a mirror off her car window, threatening her for calling police, and taking all her underwear and swimsuits. Pressler was sentenced to ten years in prison but might be given probation after six months.
