Four Bryan-College Station area residents have entered guilty pleas in Houston federal court to possessing stolen mail and aggravated identity theft.

Postal Inspector Tony Rose says sentencing has been scheduled on different dates in July, August, and September.

21 year old Ashley Carter of Bryan, 27 year old Justin Long of Bryan, 31 year old Joshua Lee Miller of College Station, and 33 year old Tiffany Taylor of Bryan admitted to taking mail from Bryan, College Station, and Austin among other locations.

Rose says the group cashed checks and used credit cards.

The inspector became involved last June when he was notified by Bryan and College Station police after Carter and Long were arrested on local charges.

Rose complimented detectives from the two police departments and the Brazos County Sheriff’s office, saying they “did a great job starting this case and made my job easy.”
