Enjoying concessions this year at Merrill Green Stadium means helping pay for Bryan school district lunches next year.
Bryan ISD Superintendent Tommy Wallis says nutrition director Sundy Fryrear found a local revenue source, concessions from football and soccer games, so parents won’t pay more and the district doesn’t lose federal or state funding.
Wallis says $14,000 dollars will be transferred next year to help pay for student meals. Wallis says concession revenue was between $28,000 and $30,000.
Tommy Wallis visits with WTAW’s Bill Oliver.
