Three bus loads of A&M students are taking a break from finals Saturday to work in West.
Tyler Stewart, who grew up in nearby Lorena, is among the former student leaders who are part of the informal group called Ags For West.
Stewart, who will be graduating this month, says 124 students will spend the day sorting collections inside a 100,000 square foot warehouse.
Stewart thanked university officials and Chancellor John Sharp for their assistance.
The buses will be departing Reed Arena Saturday at 8 a.m.
Stewart says this is the fourth installment of Aggie students assisting those affected by the fertilizer plant explosion. The students also organized a night-out fundraiser Wednesday night, t-shirts have been sold where profits are going to the relief effort, and students on their own collected necessities following the explosion then loaded up private vehicles to deliver those donations.
