Downtown Bryan Celebrates Fest for West

This Sunday, you can celebrate your Cinco de Mayo for a good cause at the Fest for West in downtown Bryan.

Kristy Petty with the Downtown Bryan Association says the fun will be located at the Palace and Grand Stafford theaters, and all proceeds from the tickets, food and alcohol will benefit the town of West.

Petty says there’ll be lots  of variety with something for everybody, and from noon until night, the street in front of the Palace Theatre will be blocked off for fest-goers.

She says more than a dozen bands will play, including headliner Brandon Rhyder, Chris King and the Liberators, Blue Bear, and Tubie and the Touchstones, and performances will alternate between the stages so you don’t have to miss any of the music.

Food includes Slovacek sausage wraps and C & J Barbecue beef brisket and pork sandwiches.

Petty encourages guests to bring their own chairs.
