Community Foundation Selects New President

If you’ve been wanting to start a scholarship or leave a legacy gift, Greg Gorman, the new president of the Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley, wants to help.

Gorman says he’s looking forward to working with the people of the Brazos Valley, including all seven counties, to help them with their charitable giving in order to make the funds last permanently.

He says the Community Foundation has the elements in place to make sure people’s gifts are managed well now, and also managed well into the future, and it assists with scholarships, estate gifts, endowed gifts, and management of family foundation funds.

Greg Gorman says he’s also excited about raising awareness of the organization.

He says that although the Community Foundation has been around for eight years, not many people know what an asset it is, or that it can be a major financial arm with many charitable causes.

Gorman says the Foundation helps individuals, but also groups like CASA, Aggieland Humane Society, and the Boys and Girls’ Clubs manage their funds and get the most out of what they give in order to improve the quality of life in the Brazos Valley.
