Local Traffic Advisories

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) reports temporary traffic changes at the intersection of Wellborn and Old Main. Left turns from Wellborn to Old Main are now blocked. And starting Saturday, March 9, Old Main at Wellborn Road will be completely closed to traffic. This is part of the ongoing construction of a new bridge. The left turn bays and Old Main are scheduled to reopen March 17.

If you were coming into west Bryan on Highway 21 Friday this afternoon you might have taken a detour at the Highway 47 exit. TxDOT says traffic was rerouted after a tractor trailer hauling a backhoe on 21 hit the highway 47 bridge. The backhoe fell off the trailer onto highway 21. There was no concrete damage to the bridge, the road surface where the backhoe landed was patched, and no one was hurt.

Sunday’s Armadillo Dash marathon means vehicular traffic will be blocked.
