College Station has a new Electric Utility Director.
Timothy Crabb, who has served as interim director since the retirement of David Massey in July, has more than thirty-five years of experience.
His new position was announced on Monday.

Crabb named College Station’s Electric Utility Director
Timothy Crabb has been named the City of College Station’s Electric Utility Director, Deputy City Manager Frank Simpson said Monday. Crabb has served as interim director since David Massey retired in July.
Crabb has more than 35 years of electric utility experience, all in Texas. He joined College Station Utilities as assistant director in 2006 after serving 29 years with Oncor in various locations throughout the state, including two years as an engineering supervisor in Waco and seven years as a district manager in Midland.
“Timothy was selected from a very qualified pool of applicants from across the country,” Simpson said. He has performed very well as interim director since last summer and I’m confident he can provide the leadership CSU needs as we strive to maintain excellent customer service and achieve more competitive rates.”
Crabb received a bachelor’s degree in electric engineering from the University of Texas-Arlington in 1990 and registered as a professional engineer in Texas in 1993. He began his career in the electric utility industry the week after he graduated from Taylor High School in 1977.
“College Station Utilities has always been known for its service reliability and excellent customer service,” Crabb said. “Our goal is to keep improving our services and make things even better.”
Crabb and his wife, Terry, have two grown children, Kirby and Kitt.
