On our sister station (1150 the Zone) will have Jounny Manziel twice…both on national shows. He was on with Mike and Mike in the Morning, he’ll be on with Jim Rome later today and several other stops throughout the day. There was a report in the Eagle saying that “The Tonight Show” was even calling. A&M has shielded Manziel from the media until now because of a rule that Coach Sumlin has regarding freshman and the media. The sports info folks have been kept busy but say Johnny will have the weekend off before gearing up for a busy week next week.
The Aggies hit the practice field next Tuesday to prepare for what ever bowl they wind up in. But the next day, Manziel and Jr. tackel Luke Joeckel will make their way to The Home Depot College Football Awards in Orlando. Manzeil is up for the Maxwell and O’Brian Awards and Joeckel is in the running for the Outland Trophy. The show will air Thursday on ESPN.
