The Texas Sports Hall of Fame announces its Class of 2012 presented. The class includes – New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees, former Dallas Cowboys RB Walt Garrison, former San Antonio HS & NBA basketball champion Shaquille O’Neal, former UT softball pitcher Catherine “Cat” Osterman, former Heisman Trophy winner from Texas Ricky Williams and one individual TBA. The 20 member primary ballot also has a couple of Aggies. Track Coach Pat Hennery, Dat Win, and football and baseball all American Dave Elmendorf. Former A&M football players were also listed in the 12 member veterans ballot, Charlie Kruger, and Charlie Millstead.

Bryan/College Station Chamber Of Commerce Holds Its 2024 Annual Banquet
The Bryan/College Station chamber of commerce held its 2024 annual banquet Monday evening (November 11). The banquet is when the chamber’s ambassador of the year is announced. This year’s recipient is Shannon Huchingson. The chamber also presented its previously announced volunteer of the year award to John Giesenschlag. The chamber’s citizen of the year award went to Texas A&M system chancellor John Sharp. The banquet also included remarks from new chamber board chairwoman Karla Castillo and the board’s immediate past chairman, Doug French. College Station Police Gets A Fast Response After Finding A Special Needs Child
College Station police finding a special needs child who was not reported missing received public assistance in finding the child’s parents. The post on CSPD’s Facebook page Monday night (November 11) had 486 shares within the first hour. In that time span, officers reported parents were quickly contacted. Many of the more of the 70 comments on the post educated readers about the ability of autistic children to sneak out of their homes.
