With the help of a videotaped confession, a Bryan man may spend the rest of his life in prison.

A Brazos County District Court jury took 38 minutes to convict 39 year old Victor Hamilton of sexual assault of a child.

The victim, who was not related to Hamilton, was 16 when the illegal sexual contact occurred several times over a two year period that ended in April of 2007.

The jury spent another two hours to decide punishment, which ranged from 25 years to life due to a pair of prior felony convictions that made Hamilton a habitual offender. He was sentenced to 75 years.
