Part of a growing College Station means extending public transportation.
At the last city council meeting, John McBeth of the Brazos Transit District (BTD) reported planning is underway to extend bus service to the south.
Comments from John McBeth.
McBeth says they are working with A&M Transportation Services to place a transfer station to connect the university to what will be the district’s “pink” route.
And the next time you think you’re in a traffic jam, consider what local streets would be like without those buses. McBeth says BTD provided 746,000 trips and A&M Transportation Services 10.7 million trips. McBeth says without A&M buses, that adds another eight miles of vehicles to local streets.
