Federal authorities expect more arrests before the year ends from the theft of mail in the twin cities.
Postal inspector Tony Rose in Houston has been working with local agencies.
With the assistance of ten city and county detectives, a Bryan woman was arrested last weekend in College Station.
Federal charges against 20 year old Ashley Carter include possession of stolen mail and aggravated identity theft.
To reduce the risk of having incoming mail stolen, Rose suggests buying mailboxes that lock and go to the post office to mail bills and anything else containing personal information.
WTAW’s Bill Oliver visits with Tony Rose.
