Bryan City Council to Consider a Million Dollar Land Sale

A Bryan-based manufacturer of nutritional products is looking to move to the bio-medical corridor.

Tuesday’s agenda for the Bryan Commerce and Development (BC&D) board includes selling land to Woodbolt International, the parent company of the Cellucor product line.

The  BC&D board, who are members of the Bryan City Council, has been asked to sell eight acres for nearly $1.4 million dollars.

Mayor Jason Bienski says the new Woodbolt campus will include 25,000 square feet of office space, a 20,000 square foot gym, and a 20,000 square foot warehouse. Bienski says employment will grow from 75 to 125.

In addition to the land sale, Bienski says Woodbolt will seek tax abatements.

The mayor says he hopes in the near future to make more announcements about pharmaceutical companies and other manufacturers locating in the bio-medical corridor.
