College Station Police Announce Suspects Identified in 2 Cases

College Station Police has announced suspects have been located in two crimes reported earlier this week.

Investigators believe they have the driver responsible for hitting a bicyclist Tuesday night in front of the campus of Texas A&M University. Charges are pending against a man whose identity has not been released. Investigators were told a SUV was damaged in the front center after striking the bike in a crosswalk at New Main and Texas. The unidentified rider was taken to the hospital with what were described as severe or incapacitating injuries.

And a suspect is in custody from an attempted sexual assault reported Monday morning. A juvenile in custody on unrelated charges is accused of awakening a woman in her apartment, then fleeing after she was able to fight him off. The only other information released was the suspect did not have permission to be in the apartment, located on Southwest Parkway near Welsh.
