A Bryan woman facing multiple criminal charges and a large civil lawsuit judgment is back in jail.
47 year old Rose Rodriguez returned to court Monday addressing nine criminal charges filed last year.
She had posted bonds totaling $23,000 dollars. Last weekend, the bonding company pulled out, landing Rodriguez back in jail.
On Monday, bonds on the nine charges were raised to a total of $141,000 dollars.
Those charges include three counts of aggravated perjury related to a civil lawsuit where Rose and her husband Carlos were found responsible for the death of a patient in their home-based assisted living business. A $750,000 award to survivors remains on appeal.
The Rodriguez’s are also charged with selling homes they didn’t own for a total of $76,000 dollars. Among the three victims are lifelong friends of the defendants. Bonds were posted with a different company.
