CS Council Accepts Charter Review Report

The College Station City Council has accepted the report of an advisory committee charged with recommending changes to the city charter.

Wednesday’s vote also calls for two public hearings next month before the council takes final action to put eight proposed charter changes on the general election ballot.

The chair of the advisory committee, former mayor Lynn McIlhaney, offered to host informational meetings between now and November.

Comments from Lynn McIlhaney.

The council made no changes Wednesday to the recommendations, though that could happen when they are reviewed July 12th and 26th. The public hearings will be held on those dates.
