CS Man Out of Jail Following $720K Bond Reduction

Willie Griffin, Jr.

Unable to get out of jail on bonds totaling $825,000, a College Station man asked a judge for a reduction.

And the request from Willie Griffin Jr. was granted, slashing nearly 90 percent of the bond to $105,000.

Charges include evidence tampering involving a former jail employee who was his girlfriend, along with aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

When Griffin was arrested in March, he was out on another $172,000 in bonds from arrests one and a half years ago. In those cases he is accused of unlawful restraint, family assault, and sexual contact with a child. On those charges, Griffin is scheduled for a jury trial starting July 9th, his 41st birthday.
