It was pro-day for former aggie quarterback Ryan Tannehill Thursday at A&M.

A total of 22 NFL teams were represented with a total of 60 pro personnel here for the workout.

In attendance were Seattle head coach Pete Carroll and Miami’s new coach Joe Philbin, who’s new offensive coordinator Mike Sherman knows a little something about Tannehill.

Also here were Cleveland offensive coordinator Brad Childress and quarterbacks coach Mark Whipple.

Tannehill ran a 40 yard sprint and his time ranged from 4.58 to 4.62.

He was led through passing drill by former Heisman trophy winner Chris Weinke. They included 8-10 passes to stationary targets and about 50 routes to various receivers incuding former teammates Cyrus Gray and Jeff Fuller. His passing drills ended with 8-10 throws in the red zone..

Both ESPN and the NFL Network covered the workout at the McFerrin Indoor Facility.

All members of Kevin Sumlin’s staff also watched as well as many Aggies current players and former players, like quarterback Jerrod Johnson.

Tannehill has been projected a possible first round pick and the third quarterback to be drafted, behind

Stanford’s Andrew Luck and Baylor’s Robert Griffin III. The NFL draft starts April 26th.
