Open Jet Door at DFW

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) _ American Airlines says a plane that lost a door in an airport accident in Texas is being repaired.

American spokesman Tim Wagner says the accident happened Tuesday when the Boeing 777 rolled away from a gate upon arrival at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

Airline officials say they don’t know if the crew failed to set the brakes on the jet, or if the brakes failed. But they say the wheels weren’t chocked, meaning blocks weren’t placed around the wheels to prevent the plane from rolling.

American spokesman Tim Wagner said Thursday that there were 200 passengers on the flight from Sao Paulo, Brazil, and some were still on board when the accident happened. There were no injuries.
