CSISD Trustees Meet

The recommendations are in for the first of the committees formed in advance of opening the new College Station High School in two years.

CSISD Trustees President Randall Pitcock says the transition committee met over the last six months. Another committee is scheduled to report in August on proposed attendance zones to account for the new high school and the new Greens Prairie Elementary School. This week’s trustees meeting included approving a one percent pay raise for next year. Pitcock said that’s enough to cover the employee increase in health insurance premiums. Click below to hear comments:

Trustees continued deliberating next year’s budget. Pitcock said the board plans to keep the tax rate for operations and maintenance at $1.00, something only a handful of districts in Texas are doing. Pitcock says they’re waiting for the final valuation numbers to determine what change, if any, will come in the tax rate to pay off bonds. Click below to hear details:
