AMARILLO, Texas (AP) _ A 4-year-old boy who police say was snatched from his mother’s arms at a California church carnival has been found unharmed in the Texas Panhandle.
Fullerton, Calif., Police Sgt. Matt Rowe says the boy was found safe with his father near Amarillo on Sunday, a day after he was reported missing.
Rowe says the boy’s mother and her son were at a church carnival Saturday evening when the boy’s father arrived unannounced. Officials say the man argued with her before suddenly grabbing the boy and fleeing.
Officials told The Orange County Register that no arrests have been made.
California authorities say they’re working with their Donley County, Texas, counterparts on the investigation.
