State Searches for Possible Rabid Dog

State health officials are looking for a possible rabid puppy given to a man outside a Bryan convenience store.

Carrie Williams with the Department of State Health Services says they need to find the dog — and its new owner — to begin treatment for rabies exposure.

The puppy in question has not tested positive for rabies, but was exposed to it.

The dog is described as an eight-week old male blue healer mix with black and gray markings. Anyone with information should call the Department of State Health Services at 254-778-6744.
