LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) _ Court documents show that Mike Leach will be deposed in Lubbock by attorneys for Texas Tech in the former football coach’s lawsuit.
Leach, who currently is living with his family in Key West, Fla., is set for oral and video depositions beginning Friday morning at the offices of his Lubbock attorney, Ted Liggett.
Liggett did not immediately return a call seeking comment.
There were no documents in the lawsuit file to indicate the two sides have completed court-ordered mediation.
The university fired Leach on Dec. 30, two days after suspending him amid allegations that he mistreated a player who had a concussion. His suit includes allegations of libel and slander and breach of contract.
Leach has denied he mistreated receiver Adam James.
