Bryan Starting Smoke Tests

Bryan water crews will start performing smoke testing on sanitary sewer lines Monday.

The tests help the Water Department to identify broken pipes and other defects.

The crews will not need to enter anyone’s home because of the testing, and no smoke will be present inside a home unless there is defective plumbing or the drain traps are dry.

The smoke is non-toxic and leaves no residue.

The water department will continue the testing through February.
