They are getting rain somewhere and last night it was in Youngsville, La. as the final game of the first half of the season was rained out between the Brazos Valley Bombers and the Acadiana Cane Cutters.
As it was, had they played and won, the Bombers still would not have earned a playoff spot from the first half standings as the finished in fourth place at 15-14. The East Texas Pump Jacks at 19-10 and Acadiana at 15-12 earn the two spots.
Those Pump Jacks will be in town tonight and tomorrow to open the second half of the season with the Bombers. It will be only the second series of the year between the two teams. Back on June 8&9 the Pump Jacks beat the Bombers twice in Kilgore. The game is at 7.
