County Animal Control Public Hearing

The Brazos County Commissioners are inviting residents to share their thoughts on proposed changes to the animal control ordinance.

Click to hear WTAW’s Chris Clift talk with County Commissioner Lloyd Wasserman:

Wasserman says the major changes under consideration deal with animal care, feral cats and dangerous dogs.

The animal control ordinance in Brazos County has not had a major update since 1985.

If the Tuesday night public hearing goes well Wasserman says Commissioners will move forward with a vote soon, but if there is concern expressed at the meeting then additional public hearings will be held before final action is taken.

The public hearing is Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the County Administration building at 200 South Texas Avenue in Bryan.
