AUSTIN, Texas (AP) _ Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani embarks on a two-day fund-raising swing next month for Texas Gov. Rick Perry.
Perry is in the re-election fight of his political life with a Republican primary challenge from U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison. Perry spokesman Mark Miner says Perry will host Giuliani at fund-raisers in Houston, San Antonio, Austin and Dallas.
Perry baffled conservative activists in the 2008 presidential race when he endorsed Giuliani, who is a moderate Republican with liberal views on abortion, gays and gun control.
Miner said the fund-raisers would be Sept. 15-16.
