A 73 year old Bryan man now has ten convictions for felony theft with prior convictions.

Last Friday (October 4), James Oliver Ross and the district attorney’s office reached a plea agreement for thefts that took place in November 2022 and in November and December of 2023.

Ross was given a prison sentence of seven years that covers all those cases.

Two of the convictions involve the thefts of steaks. A College Station police arrest report says six were taken from the College Station Walmart, valued at $126 dollars. And a Bryan police arrest report says four packages of skirt steaks were taken from the Walmart on Briarcrest, valued at $54 dollars.

Online court records shows Ross’s ten felony theft convictions with priors date back to 1989.
