BIRMINGHAM – Texas A&M’s Logan Lednicky was named SEC Offensive Player of the Week following the Aggies’ upset victory over then-No. 24 Auburn, the league announced Monday afternoon.

Lednicky earned her first SEC Offensive Player of the Week honor and the third conference weekly accolade of her career, as she propelled the Maroon & White to their first ranked win of the season over Auburn. The Sugar Land, Texas, native logged a season high 23 kills and 18 digs which produced her second double-double of the season. Lednicky’s 18 digs also matched her career high, while her 23-kill outing marked the 50th time in her career reaching double-digit kills.

The junior ranks among the elite in the conference offensively, as she stands sixth in both kills per set (4.29) and points per set (4.99). Her standout showing versus the Tigers had her averaging 5.75 kills per frame and 6.38 points per frame. Nationally, Lednicky ranks in the top-30 in both points and kills per set, ranking 20th and 26th, respectively.

Lednicky and the Aggies return to action Wednesday, as they look for their third-straight conference win at Ole Miss with first serve set for 6:30 p.m.
