Texas A&M Men’s Tennis Advances at ITA Championships

News release from Texas A&M Athletics:

TULSA, Okla. – All three players in the main draw representing the Texas A&M men’s tennis team at the ITA All-American Championships are advancing to the next round.

The No. 3 seeded doubles duo of senior Giulio Perego and junior Togan Tokac fought a hard battle to defeat Aristotelis Thanos/Ozan Baris of Michigan State, 3-6, 7-5, 14-12. The duo is advancing to the quarterfinals to face Oliver Tarvet and Stian Klaassen of San Diego.

Senior JC Roddick came out victorious in the round of 32 against Alexander Bernard of Ohio State, 6-0, 6-3. He will next play in the round of 16 against Michael Zheng of Columbia.

Main draw play continues tomorrow, Sept. 27.
