News release from Texas A&M Athletics:
BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M women’s golf and head coach Gerrod Chadwell announced the 2024-25 slate Tuesday. The Aggies have reached the quarterfinals for three-straight years at the NCAA Championships and crowned the first Individual National Champion in program history last season.
The Maroon & White will start the season for the third-straight year at the prestigious Carmel Cup at the historic Pebble Beach Golf Links Aug. 30-Sept. 1. The Aggies have finished runner-up and third, respectively, in their past two outings at the Carmel Cup.
After that they will head to the Mason Rudolph (Sept. 20-22) at the Vanderbilt Legends Club, which is the same course where the 2022 Franklin Regional took place the saw Texas A&M qualify for the NCAA Championships for the first time in seven years in Chadwell’s first year leading the Aggies.
The third tournament of the year will take place in Nassau, Bahamas, at the White Sands Invitational (Oct. 19-20) and then the Aggies will wrap up the fall at the Charles Schwab Invitational in Fort Worth (Oct. 28-29).
The spring slate begins at the Match in the Desert (Jan. 27) in Gold Canyon Arizona, and Moon Golf Invitational (Feb. 16-18) in the Sunshine State. Those two tourneys will be followed by the Chevron Collegiate in Humble, Texas. The Aggies won the 2023 iteration of the Chevron Collegiate with a 54-hole program record of 34-under 830 and came in third at the 2024 installment.
Texas A&M will make its return to the Clover Cup (March 10-12) in Phoenix after taking home the tournament title in 2023 before heading back to Fort Worth for the spring version of the Charles Schwab Invitational (March 24-25). The Maroon & White wrap up the regular season with a home tournament at Traditions Club with the “Mo” Morial returning to the Brazos Valley. The 2022 “Mo” was Chadwell’s first tournament championship leading the Aggies after the team overcame a six-stroke deficit on the back nine to keep the tourney title at home.
The post season starts with a return to Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida, for the SEC Championship. The Aggies won the 2023 SEC title and advanced all the way to the championship match of last year’s tournament.
NCAA Regionals will take place May 5-7 and the 2025 NCAA Championships (May 16-21) returns to Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California, where Adela Cernousek will look to defend her Individual National Championship from earlier this year.
