Men’s Tennis’ Taylor Earns ITA Scholar Athlete Status

TEMPE, Ariz. – Texas A&M’s Kenner Taylor earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar-Athlete status for the fourth time in his career, the organization announced Monday.

Taylor earned above a 3.5 GPA for the 2023-24 academic year to qualify for the honor. The Houston native earned his bachelor’s degree in business honors and finance in May of 2023 and is expected to complete his master’s of real estate in December 2024.

Taylor was named the 2023-24 Brad Davis SEC Community Service Leader of the Year after being chosen by a committee of faculty representatives from SEC universities and received a $10,000 post-graduate scholarship from the conference.

The four-year letter winner amassed more than 50 doubles victories in his career and over 30 singles wins. He was a five-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll, as well as garnering three selections to the SEC Community Service Team.

In 2023, Taylor was bestowed the highest honor given to and Aggie student-athlete, winning the Texas A&M Distinguished Letterman Award. The award is given to a student-athlete who displays extraordinary talent and honor in the areas of athletics, scholarship, leadership and service.
