College Station police go to a local hospital to investigate a domestic violence incident where a woman was being treated for injuries that included a broken ankle. The CSPD arrest report says the victim was struck six times on the ankle with an M-4 carbine rifle. She also had bruises on her lower legs and her arms. Officers who stopped the suspect’s vehicle found a rifle with dried blood that is believed to what was used to hit the victim. 37 year old Gant Solomon of College Station, who told a nurse another man struck the woman, was arrested for family violence aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful carry of a weapon. Solomon remains jailed as of July 11 in lieu of bonds totaling $54,000 dollars.
Bryan police respond to a report of a man who was struck by a SUV in the parking lot of an apartment complex. The man refused medical treatment after he was struck in the upper arm. The driver of the SUV, the man’s girlfriend, was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. According to the BPD arrest report, the man said he was struck while they were arguing. 19 year old Kaitlyn Taylor of Houston remains in jail as of July 11 in lieu of a $12,000 dollar bond.
