The arrest of a College Station woman for misdemeanor possession of marijuana followed her boyfriend’s four year old son going to the hospital after consuming something containing THC.

According to the College Station police arrest report, the boy’s father said the timeframe that his son “was acting different/off” coincided when they were at the woman’s home.

The father took his son to a Bryan hospital. Then the youngster was flown to a children’s hospital in Temple where the arrest report says he was in critical condition as of Saturday (June 22). WTAW News has asked CSPD for an update on the condition of the four year old.

A CSPD search of the woman’s home turned up a partially smoked marijuana cigarette, one marijuana bud weighing 0.3 grams, and drug paraphernalia.

During the search, officers saw the woman’s two and three year old daughters “actively playing in the living room when this marijuana bud was discovered” and suspected drug paraphernalia was found in a children’s dresser drawer.

The arrest report says child and protective services was contacted to take custody of the sisters.

27 year old Octasha Dorsey is out of jail after posting an $8,000 dollar bond.

Online court records shows Dorsey pleaded guilty in September 2022 to manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance in a drug free zone and was sentenced to ten years probation which included performing 275 hours of community service.
