A former Aggie administrator is returning to College Station. Subject to final approval by the Board of Regents later this week, Rodney McClendon will become A&M’s Vice President of Administration. Dr. McClendon recently finished his first year at the University of North Texas in Denton. That’s after he worked over 15 years for A&M at the flagship campus and at Galveston, where he moved that operation to College Station following Hurricane Ike.
Texas A&M University officials are making at least two presentations before state lawmakers in February. Tuesday, representatives of the College of Veternary Medicine will be in Austin. A&M President Bowen Loftin told those attending last week’s Chamber of Commerce economic outlook conference the vet school needs more space.
Dr. R. Bowen Loftin.
And on February 15th, A&M and U-T Austin have planned a joint lobbying effort at the Capitol.
