Bryan police continue to investigate two weekend reports of gunfire.
Saturday night (June 8) south of Henderson Park on Alice Street, officers provided initial emergency care to a person who was shot. A BPD spokesman tells WTAW News the care provided by the officers “was vital in keeping the victim alive.” The victim was taken to an emergency room in critical condition, then was admitted to a hospital where as of Monday (June 10) was listed in stable condition. No arrests have been made. A person of interest has been identified. The suspect and the victim know each other.
On Friday night (June 7), BPD officers responded to shots fired in the area of the Bryan Regional Athletic Complex. Officers found evidence of gunfire. No one or no property was hit.
