Texas A&M Athletics Graduating 61 Student-Athletes

News Release from Texas A&M Athletics:

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M Athletics is set to be represented by 61 student-athletes who will be honored at spring commencement ceremonies May 9-11 at Reed Arena.

“I am incredibly proud of our student-athletes that are earning their degrees this week,” Director of Athletics Trev Alberts said. “I would also like to thank our academic staff for their work in promoting an environment of academic success. At Texas A&M, we will strive to be excellent in the classroom and to develop well-rounded student-athletes that prioritize receiving a degree. Everyone knows the reputation that Former Students have. They have positively impacted our university, country and world in numerous ways, and this new class of graduates will without a doubt continue that legacy.”

The 61 graduates are highlighted by student-athletes from 15 different sports. Twelve Aggies will be earning master’s degrees. Football led all sports with eight individuals earning degrees this weekend.

“Our Athletics Department and Center for Student-Athlete Services are extremely proud of our student-athletes for completing their degrees,” Executive Associate Athletics Director for Academics and Student-Athlete Engagement Dr. Dan Childs said. “It can be challenging to balance academics and athletics, but we are fortunate to have student-athletes at Texas A&M who understand the importance of both. They are able to achieve success on and off the field because of hard work, discipline and commitment to our Core Values. Congratulations to the class of 2024”.”

Commencement ceremonies will begin at 9 a.m. on Thursday inside Reed Arena. For more information on schedule and graduation festivities, please click here.
