The spring of 2026 is the projected start of building an interchange at Wellborn Road and George Bush Drive.
Members of the Texas A&M faculty senate received an update during Monday’s meeting (April 8) from senator Catharina Laporte.
She attended a senate planning committee where a presentation was given by administrators and officials at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI).
TTI research engineer Debbie Albert told WTAW News that the public is invited to complete a new survey on the project.
The survey asks among other things, the times you drive through the Bush-Wellborn intersection and how you want to be notified of construction updates.
The survey also gives you the opportunity to submit suggestions, comments, and concerns about the project.
At the end of the survey, there is an invitation to send a request to meeting with TTI’s public outreach team by sending an email to bush-wellborn@tti.tamu.edu.
