BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M track & field team hosts the 44 Farms Team Invitational this weekend at E.B. Cushing Stadium, with events starting at 12 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday.

“We have a great meet here this weekend,” head coach Pat Henry said. “We have a lot of good teams coming to compete and it’s the kind of competition we need.”

The Aggies enter the fourth week of the outdoor season ranked No. 1 in the country on the men’s side, while the women climbed five spots to No. 3. The groups also hold three nation-leading marks, with Sam Whitmarsh in the 800m (1:44.46), Ja’Qualon Scott in the 110m hurdles (13.34) and Lianna Davidson in the javelin (57.28m/187-11).

Victor Kibiego (3000m steeplechase), Madison Brown (10,000m), Kennady Fontenot (5,000m) and Jonathan Chung (10,000m) all debuted in the all-time ranks, while Cooper Cawthra and Eric Casarez logged the second-best performances in Aggie history in the 1500m and 5,000m, respectively.
