Texas A&M Police Investigating Reports Of “Date Rape Drugs” Placed In Drinks At Bars

Texas A&M police is investigating reports from two people who say that someone put “date rape drugs” into their drinks at bars in the Northgate district.

A UPD news release says an unknown suspect was involved in the incidents that are classified as aggravated assaults.

Both incidents took place during the early morning hours last Friday (March 29).

The news release, which was issued Tuesday night (April 2), does not say what happened to the victims.

UPD did list reminders that includes not leaving your drink unattended, throw out your drink if it has an unusual appearance or taste, if you leave your drink for whatever reason to throw it out when you return, and don’t drink from a can or a bottle that you did not open yourself.
