College Station fire department investigators continue to look for the cause of Wednesday’s fire at the Pearl Apartments.

CSFD captain Stuart Marrs says the fire, which began on an upstairs bed, was contained to the unit and the attic space.

But all residents in the U-shaped building were displaced. That’s after utilities were disconnected.

No occupants, firefighters, or bystanders were injured.

There were two residents in the fire damaged unit. How they were alerted is not known.

Marrs says multiple smoke detectors in adjoining units alerted neighbors.

The response included nine units from CSFD and one from Bryan.

Original story, as reported by WTAW’s Ian Curtis:

Multiple units of the College Station Fire Department were at the scene of an apartment fire at the Pearl Apartments in College Station on Wednesday.

Firefighters arriving at the scene saw flames coming out of a second-story window of a single building at the Pearl Apartments on Harvey Road.

Damage appeared to be limited to a small number of upper floor units.

CSFD stated in a Facebook post that multiple residents were displaced from their units but none were injured in the fire.

The Bryan Fire Department assisted in putting out the blaze.

The cause of the fire has not been reported.
