DALLAS (AP) _ A Texas church’s list of which businesses do and don’t acknowledge Christmas has ended up much less “naughty” than “nice.”
First Baptist Church of Dallas set up a website –www.Grinchalert.com — to report businesses that don’t mention Christmas, referring only to generic holidays instead.
The website said companies belong on the “Naughty List” when they use “misplaced political correctness to halt the celebration of Christmas.” The site also asked which companies “keep Christ in Christmas,” so they could be put on the “Nice List.”
The church’s pastor, the Rev. Robert Jeffress, says he was surprised but also encouraged that the naughty list is only 2 pages long, while the nice list fills 12 pages.
