COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Former Texas A&M standout and NBA All-Star Khris Middleton was named to the 12-member U.S. Olympic Men’s Basketball Team, USA Basketball announced Monday.
It is the first Olympic Games appointment for Middleton, who has been on the U.S. National Team roster since 2018. Middleton also competed for Team USA at the 2019 FIBA World Cup in China.

Additionally, former Texas A&M basketball standout Antanas Kavaliauskas represented Lithuania in the 2012 and 2016 Olympics.
At Texas A&M, Middleton played in 87 games and drew 72 starts over three seasons from 2009-12. An All-Big 12 and all-district selection, he finished his career with 983 points, averaging 11.3 per game with 4.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists. He helped the Aggies to the NCAA tournament in 2010 and 2011.

Currently, Middleton and the Milwaukee Bucks hold a 2-1 advantage over the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference semifinals of the NBA Playoffs. Through 2020-21, Middleton has played in 585 games, starting in 510 games, in his NBA regular season career and has compiled 18,552 minutes (31.5 mpg.), 9,811 points (16.3 ppg.), 2,810 rebounds (4.6 rpg.), 2,103 assists (3.4 apg.), 718 steals (1.2 spg.), while shooting 46.0% from the field, 39.5% from 3-point and 87.9% from the foul line.

Men’s basketball preliminary play at the Olympics, which will see 12 teams divided into three groups of four teams each, will be held July 25-Aug. 2.
