Grand Slam Leaders Promise to Address Players’ Mental Health

The leaders of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments have promised to address players’ concerns about mental health following Naomi Osaka’s sudden withdrawal from the French Open.

The pledge came in a statement signed by the same four administrators who threatened to disqualify or suspend Osaka if she continued to skip press conferences.

Osaka, a four-time Grand Slam winner, had already been fined $15,000 for skipping a first round post-match presser at Roland Garros.
